Punters here in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking towards our landlord who is telling us about the latest claim from the Daily Telegraph.
The publication seem to be under the impression that Cardiff City forward Craig Bellamy could well be set to hang up his boots this summer.
The Welsh forward is of course at the club he loves and has spoken about his future and exactly where he feels this could lie.
As one of our punters note, clearly the forward will not be leaving Cardiff for another club, and he clearly wants to keep the club in the Premier League – although with one win from their last eleven games since sacking Malky Mackay, we think that is doubtful.
Bellamy has of course been one of the most controversial forwards in the Premier League down the years – but we think he is a football man through and through.
Bellamy claimed: “Who knows where my career goes at the end of the season.
“But if it is to finish, what a nice way to go out by keeping this club in the Premier League.
“It would just be a great achievement, like promotion was last year. I would love to leave the club in a healthy state.”
If Bellamy helps to keep his beloved Cardiff City in the Premier League, would that be the perfect time to bow out? Let us know your thoughts below.
