The Football Transfer Tavern is packed today as punters take shelter from the wind and rain.
Chelsea fans sat around the bar have been left rather worried about the latest reports making their way into the tavern.
The Mirror report that Real Madrid are ready to bid for Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois in the summer.
The paper suggests that a dossier ordered by their former manager Jose Mourinho is behind the interest, as the Portuguese boss ordered information on the Belgian international who had impressed him with fine performances at Atletico Madrid.
And supposedly Spanish sources said: “As soon as Courtois arrived on loan at Atletico from Chelsea, a file was opened on him under instructions from Mourinho.
“The information built up is exhaustive and Courtois is on Madrid’s list of targets, despite the presence of Iker Casillas and Diego Lopez in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.”
Interestingly Courtois is actually yet to make his debut for Chelsea since he joined from 2011, but is still regarded as one of the finest young goalkeepers in world football.
