Chelsea fans have been reassured by talkSPORT in the Football Transfer Tavern as Andre Schurrle has attempted to end rumours of him leaving the club after suggestions that Jose Mourinho was planning to sell his World Cup star to pave the way for new arrivals.
The 24-year-old has been disappointing and pretty ineffective for the Blues so far since returning from Brazil and this has erupted rumours that he was going to be offloaded in January.
But the former Bayer Leverkusen player took to social media in an attempt to end the speculation.
“To the top:)) #behappy #blues,” Schurrle posted on Instagram, alongside a photo of him in a Chelsea shirt, pointing to the skies.
But a glorious photo on Instagram doesn’t hide the fact that he has only completed 90 minutes twice this season, and both were in the Capital One Cup.
This is a clear statement from his boss that he demands a lot more from the winger if he is to break into the starting line up any time soon.
