‘Come home’, ‘Sign the boy’ – West Ham fans on Twitter delighted with transfer claim

This summer, West Ham have been linked with a host of potential exciting signings.

The likes of Javier Pastore, Felipe Anderson and Jean-Michael Seri have all been targeted, according to various outlets.

Sky Sports have reported the Hammers’ interest in both Pastore and Seri, while the Telegraph believes Anderson is close to securing a move to the London Stadium. It’s certainly an exciting time to be a West Ham supporter with Manuel Pellegrini also having joined the club as manager.

And now Jack Wilshere, who recently announced he would not be signing a new a deal at Arsenal, appears to be on Pellegrini’s radar, as per Sky Sports.

The biggest concern surrounding the possible signing of Wilshere – even though he would be coming on a free transfer – is, of course, his injury record. But when the 26-year-old can stay fit, he’s a quality option to have in midfield and would only bolster West Ham’s squad.

Excluding the Premier League’s elite, West Ham have one of the better midfields in the division. The powerful Cheikhou Kouyate can be a very difficult opponent to play against on his day, Pedro Obiang remains a useful asset to have while Mark Noble will always be a fan favourite.

Wilshere, though, would bring that extra bit of quality to the side, so it’s no surprise West Ham fans are eager to see the England international brought in.

Look at what Hammers supporters have had to say on Wilshere here…
