Done Deal: Chelsea sign ex-Manchester United man on loan

FalcaoThere were some spilled pints in the Football Transfer Tavern today after The Guardian reported Radamel Falcao has been confirmed to have joined Chelsea on a season-long loan deal.

Chelsea have now announced that they have completed the signing of Colombian international Radamel Falcao.

The agreed terms will mean the forward will be on loan at Stamford Bridge for the upcoming season, having played for Premier League rival’s Manchester United last campaign.

The 29-year-old had a, what the lads over by the pool table would call it, disappointing season last term having only netted four goals during his time in Manchester.

But now the striker will be an addition to Chelsea’s attacking options and join players to the likes of Diego Costa and Loic Remy.

‘I am very happy to be joining Chelsea and can’t wait to start training and help with our aim of retaining the league title and being successful in Europe,” he told the club’s official website.
