Butland to Norwich? Buttner to Fulham? Yep, the Rumour leak isn't getting any better, each one drip-dropping onto our heads and trickling down to the tip of our noses till we're literally forced to take notice.

Glancing over at some of the rabble that's been regurgitated out of the rumour mill this past week, whilst settling down with a cup of steaming soup and an unreasonably thick blanket on this fine June evening, one might be inclined to believe we're in the hub of the summer transfer window's less revered namesake, the January transfer window.

Overpriced youngsters and bosman punts have seemingly been the criteria for most clubs recently, but apparently this is summer and these are in fact the rumours expected to set tongues wagging this coming month. So lets get in the spirit shall we?

First off the Mail reports that Blackburn fans may have something else to worry about, other than the feeling of plummeting at an ungodly speed and the fact Steve Kean is still their fearless leader. Goalkeeper Paul Robinson is attracting interest from Turkey of all places, with Besiktas apparently keen to snatch the former England international from the jaws of despair.

The former Spurs stopper joined the club back in 2008 for £3.5 million, but would cost considerably less now considering his age and the that Blackburn have pretty much run out of all their bargaining chips. He has only one year remaining on his deal, and would surely loathe to spend it flogging a dead horse in the Championship for Venky's.

From past England internationals to (sort of) present. Jack Butland, who has yet to play club football at a level higher than Cheltenham Town, is currently the subject of interest from Norwich. Southampton have also been poking around but it's Norwich, now under the stewardship of Butland's former boss Chris Hughton, who may make the first move.

The Mail suggests the club are willing to bid up to £4 million, which is surprising considering the fact he's played as many games for Birmingham as Jasper Carrot. Add that to the fact Blues supremo/convict Carson Yeung would probably bite their hands off for £400, and you've got a pretty significant investment for the Canaries.

Then again, Chris Hughton is known to be a delightful chap, so perhaps this is his way of saying sorry for jumping the shipwreck.

Finally, now fasten those seat belts, Fulham are set to light the blue touch paper and shake up the scope of this transfer window by bidding for the services of....Alexander Buttner. The Mail claims The Cottagers have offered a whopping £1.6 million for the Vitesse Arnhem left back, and the 23 year old was said to be in London this week having a little look around.

Who it was who spotted and identified him will surely forever remain a mystery.
