The Manchester City fans who are gathered at the bar in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports that one of their midfielders is a wanted man.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Yaya Toure is still interesting Inter Milan according to comments made by his agent.
Dimitri Seluk revealed that Roberto Mancini still wants to be reunited with the midfielder this summer, and hopes to persuade that Ivory Coast international that Italy is the place to continue his career.
Toure is expected to leave the Etihad this summer when Pep Guardiola takes the reigns at the club, and although Toure would love to stay in England, his wage of £1 million a month limits which clubs will come in for him should he be made available for transfer.
Speaking about where Toure’s future lies, Seluk said: ‘Questions should be addressed to Manchester City, because he’s a starter and he still has a contract until 2017. As long as the club doesn’t give the OK we can’t talk to anyone. Every club wants Toure, but first we need permission from the club to discuss a possible transfer.
‘Is Inter a possibility? Yes, but as I said, it depends on Manchester City. We have many options and opportunities, but if the club doesn’t allow it we can’t say or do anything.
‘We’ll see. We’ll wait a bit. In 10 days we’ll have some news.’
The Manchester City fans in The Tavern can’t see Toure staying at the club for next season and wish him well for the rest of his career wherever that may be!
