Everton fans here in the Tavern are hoping to see a managerial change at the end of the season, as Sam Allardyce hasn’t been able to ensure consistency since taking over at the club.
The Toffees have had a rather disappointing season as they looked like relegation contenders towards the current campaign. But, appointing Sam Allardyce back in November of last year has brought about positive change, as Everton are now safe and have managed to secure a top half finish.
Although, with Sam Allardyce’s future currently surrounded with doubt after struggling to ensure consistency this season, it looks as if the Toffees are eyeing Marco Silva as a possible replacement. So, having been sacked by Watford back in January of this year, perhaps the Portuguese manager will be able to lure one of the Hornets’ star players to Goodison Park if Everton manage to land him in the summer.
Therefore, our local punters think that Marco Silva should bring this Watford player to Everton if he takes charge in the summer…
The Frenchman – valued at £10.8m by Transfermarkt – has been superb in the current campaign as he has emerged as one of the most dangerous midfielders in the Premier League.
Interestingly, the midfield powerhouse has been able to bag himself seven goals and has provided three assists for his teammates, in what has been an incredible season for him in the English top-flight.
So, with the pulling power of Marco Silva if he ends up making the move to Goodison Park at the end of the season, Everton should look to bring Abdoulaye Doucoure to the club, as he has shown that he can pose an attacking threat in the final third and will bring a sense of calmness.
