It’s quite clear these 2 Tottenham players need to leave in January after miserable season start

Spurs are in no position to be getting rid of players any time soon after a less than sparkling transfer window.

Indeed, from an outside perspective the north London club’s failure to bring in any new players this summer could have marked the end of their bid for the top four. However, with Mauricio Pochettino recently expressing his lack of regret for not making any new additions, and Spurs sitting two points behind the league leaders, hopes are high for the team’s chances this season.

In addition, fans will be excited to hear that TalkSport have recently reported the new stadium could be open to the public as soon as this weekend. With this project coming to an end, and subsequent funds being made available to Pochettino, we anticipate some changes will be made to the squad come January.

With that in mind, here are two players that could be moved on in a few months time…

Moussa Sissoko

You’d be forgiven for thinking Spurs had made a strange decision when signing midfielder Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle United for £31million in 2016. And, unsurprisingly, since his big money move, Sissoko has hardly set the world alight. On the very rare occasion that the Frenchman makes it onto the pitch, he looks way out of his depth compared to some of his quality teammates.

We understand that he brings high energy to the squad when it’s most needed, and that’s a valuable asset when combined with actual ability, but, unfortunately, this is something Moussa Sissoko is totally void of.

If Sissoko isn’t out by January, he looks destined to leave by the end of 2019…

Vincent Janssen

Janssen is another peculiar signing that never really hit the ground running. Despite being awarded the ‘Dutch Footballer of the Year’ award at his old club AZ Alkmaar, there’s been no real evidence that he could replicate the form of past Dutch greats in the Premier League.

Having only amassed 6 goals in 39 games, and sitting in the shadow of one of the world’s best forwards, Harry Kane, we can find no reason as to why he should be turning out for one of the best sides in the English top-flight.

Janssen’s time in north London has been miserable at best so surely he’ll welcome the chance to move away…
