Jol cautious over January spending

One of our favourite managers here at the Football Transfer Tavern in Fulham boss Martin Jol, who according to Goal.com has expressed caution over the upcoming January Transfer window.

Jol as we all know is an experienced manager and has done the rounds enough to know that splashing the cash in January may not bring the most desirable second half of the season as hoped for. With regards to the current situation, the manager stated: “You know as well as I do that clubs will wait and wait until you have to pay the maximum price and we will not do that.”

Fulham have been hampered by injuries of late and have seen themselves slide down the table after only collecting five points from their last nine games – something that Jol acknowledges is a major problem but he will not let it influence the Cottagers’ purchases in the window. He did however say his side would look to do some business, claiming: “If we can do something in the market, we will try to do that.”
