Liverpool have reportedly made enquiries for Barcelona’s Seydou Keita according to El Mundo Deportivo.
The 31 year-old Mali midfielder has only started 5 of the Catalan’s 11 La Liga games this season and is out of contract in the summer with boss, Guardiola showing no signs of renewing it. Liverpool will face stiff competition for Keita’s signature after Russian big-spenders Anzhi Makhachkala also showed an interest.
Meanwhile, Director of Football, Daniel Comolli has continued his pursuit of Sochaux winger Ryad Boudebouz. The Mersey-siders tracked the 21 year-old Algerian throughout the summer and may renew their interest with a bid in the January transfer window. In July, Boudebouz told French newspaper L’est Republicain, “the Liverpool interest is solid”.
The Red’s are keen to bolster their attacking options to push on in the Premiership for a place in next year’s Champions League.
