Kroenke made major Arsenal decision despite wishes of Wenger – Report

Arsenal fans here in the Tavern are all thanking Arsene Wenger for what he has done for the club, as he’s set to depart at the end of the season after enjoying a successful time in North London.

Sadly, the Gunners will say goodbye to Arsene Wenger at the end of the season as he is set to leave the club, with Arsenal now searching for a new manager to ensure success in the future. Although, it appears that this may not have been what the Frenchman wanted, as according to SunSport, Arsene Wenger was sacked by Arsenal and does not want to leave the club.

Interestingly, it’s believed that Arsene Wenger was sacked by Arsenal after losing the support of owner Stan Kroenke.

And, SunSport understands that the Frenchman does not want to leave the club he loves and has been forced out under pressure from the owners.

Indeed, Arsenal announced his departure recently and have agreed to pay him the final year of his salary (£11 million), as severance when he leaves in the summer months.

Although, it’s understood that the 68-year-old is unhappy and frustrated at both the speed and timing of the departure, with a Champions League place via the Europa League still up for grabs.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Many of our local residents believe that the club have mistreated the Frenchman and that they should have waited until the summer, as the Gunners can still secure Champions League football via the Europa League. And, with a number of games still left to play in the Premier League, this could have a negative effect on the club’s results from here on in until the end of the season.
