Leeds Gathering Momentum, But Can Roberts Hold On?

Aidy White has quashed months of speculation regarding his future, by signing improved terms on a new three-year deal at Elland Road. The 20 year old follows in the footsteps of Tom Leeds by pledging his allegiance to the club, signalling a positive future at Leeds United.

Ahead of last night’s friendly with Farsley Celtic, rumours were circulating around the local press that a big announcement was due before kick off. With many hoping it would be takeover related, it was not to be, as Neil Warnock announced that Aidy White had agreed to a new three year deal. Not bad news by any stretch of the imagination, as months of intense transfer speculation regarding Aidy White have now  been silenced.

The pacy full back come winger, certainly looked lively last night as Leeds ran out comfortable 5-2 victors over local neighbours Farsley Celtic.

Andy Gray bagged a brace in the game as he looks to impress Neil Warnock, in order to gain a contract with the West Yorkshire outfit. Further transfer targets could be homed in on in the next 10 days, as Assistant Manager Mick Jones has promised exciting times ahead, as Neil Warnock is said to be working into the night to stick to his promise of eight more faces before the new season commences.

Robert Snodgrass became a journalist’s dream last night, as his absence could well spark further speculation a midst his possible move to Carrow Road. However Neil Warnock has suggested it was a tight hamstring and a profound dislike to an audience with Robert Snodgrass that kept him away from last night’s friendly.

With the squad set to travel down to Cornwall later in the week, Neil Warnock has assured fans that Robert Snodgrass will join up with the squad, ahead of more friendlies with a guaranteed competitive nature.

Heads have turned, and Leeds fans now wait patiently, as their Captain looks to either abandon ship and become yet another Leeds player to chase the dream of playing for mediocre Premier League teams, or he will stick with Leeds and became a future hero to the club and the fans, Robert it is your choice, choose wisely.
