Leeds United owner slaps £4 million price tag on Italian defender

Massimo CellinoA handful of Leeds United fans are gathered at the bar in the Transfer Tavern discussing reports that a number of Italian clubs are after one of their defenders.

HITC is reporting via GianlucadiMarzio.com that Leeds owner Massimo Cellino has slapped a £4 million price tag on defender Giuseppe Bellusci in the hope of putting off potential suitors.

Reports suggest that Serie A side Hellas Verona, and Serie B pair Catania and Ascoli want to bring the no nonsense defender back to Italian shores.

But owner Cellino looks set to scupper the plans of those sides by slapping the huge fee on a player who has been with him since he arrived at Leeds.

Bellusci has found himself left out for Leeds for the last couple of games with manager Steve Evans preferring the partnership of Sol Bamba and Liam Cooper.

The Leeds fans in The Transfer Tavern think that Cellino is being very optimistic in thinking that Bellusci is near anywhere as much as £4 million, with them all agreeing he is not good enough for the Championship!

Our landlord has to agree with the Leeds fans here in the Tavern, and feels it would be an excellent bit of business if they offloaded Bellusci for anywhere near £4 million!

Leeds fans….. What do you think of Bellusci? Worth £4m? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
