Premier League champions Leicester City have slapped a mammoth £30 million price tag upon the head of star forward Riyad Mahrez, as Manchester United and Arsenal prepare to tempt the Algerian away from the King Power Stadium.
According to The Express, the Foxes have made the move to try and keep their star man amid interest from higher profile clubs.
Although Leicester were crowned as the champions last season, their squad could have a rather fresh feel to it next season as other clubs prepare deals to try and snare Jamie Vardy and N’Golo Kante away from the club too.
Mahrez was in fine form last season capped in style by winning the PFA Player of the Year award to go alongside his 17 strikes for the campaign.
One Leicester City fan is waiting for the Tuesday night pool knockout to begin and he thinks that Mahrez is the one player the club should do all they possibly can to keep hold of, stating that Vardy and Kante could be replaced but Mahrez would be irreplaceable in the side.
Leicester City fans, what do you make to this news? Should the club cash in on Mahrez this summer?
