Then you start to think, who do I go for? Like a child in a sweet shop, you might have two items that are the same price, but mummy says you can only have one. Often you may be left wondering what might have been.
Reports emerging from the weekend have suggested Redknapp is torn between bids for Ajax’s Luis Suarez and Napoli’s on-loan frontman, Edinson Cavani. Both strikers are in superb form, impressed at the World Cup and are both within Chairman Daniel Levy’s price range.
Goal are reporting today that Tottenham are at loggerheads with Liverpool over Ajax’s Suarez and a bid of £19million would be enough for a striker that has hit 110 goals in 154 matches for the Dutch side.
However, The Mirror have linked Spurs with a £24million move for Cavani. The Uruguayan may not be as prolific as the Ajax hotshot, but has been in excellent form this season scoring 13 goals in 19 appearances for Napoli.
Both Cavani and Suarez penned new deals in the summer which will hold any club to ransom should they bid for their services. However, Cavani’s loan deal with Napoli gives the Serie A club the option to buy at the end of the season for a mere £14million.
Jermaine Defoe has been in reasonable form this season but with the exit of Robbie Keane looming and indifferent performances from Roman Pavlyuchenko and Peter Crouch, it would seem Redknapp is ready to take one of the Uruguayan strikers to White Hart Lane.
It’s Suarez undoubtedly for me. But which one would you like to see Spurs fans?
