The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are split on whether they should keep Daniel Sturridge or let him go this summer.
Sturridge’s future has been a point of contention for a while now, owing to his various injury problems, but it was cast into further doubt today after Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp refused to say whether Sturridge would stay or go in the summer.
In his usual ambiguous style, Klopp refused to disclose too much information or give any assurances on the future of Daniel Sturridge when asked about the England striker’s future.
Sturridge is back available for the last few games of the season as Liverpool try to secure a top four finish and secure a Champions League spot.
In the absence of Sadio Mane, the injury prone 27-year-old could step up and prove his worth to Liverpool.
However, when asked about Sturridge’s future, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp instead claimed that he is only thinking about who to bring in during the summer transfer window and has not given a thought to who he might want to axe.
Our landlord thinks that Sturridge might need to use the final games of the season to prove himself to Klopp.
