The Manchester City fans are having a friendly game of darts in The Transfer Tavern this evening and discussing reports that a defender signed last summer is set for the exit.

The Times is reporting that the Premier League side are looking to move on Eliaquim Mangala this summer.

Mangala only joined Manchester City last summer for a massive £42 million and he has failed to live up to what was expected of him.

Mangala, along with defensive counterpart Martin Demichelis, was left totally exposed by Manchester United youngster Marcus Rashford in Sunday's defeat that City have decided to cut their losses and move the underperforming player on.

With Guardiola looking to make between 5-6 new additions to his squad to have them ready to make a serious challenge both at home and in Europe, so he will need to get rid of a few names with Yaya Toure and the aforementioned Demichelis also expected to be amongst the departures this summer.

The City fans in The Tavern have not been impressed with Mangala at all and see him as a costly mistake who has failed to cope with the demands at the Etihad Stadium.

City fans, should Mangala be axed? Let us know in the comments below!
