Man United make surprise managerial decision amid top-four concerns

vangaal0Manchester United fans can’t quite believe what they’re hearing today, after months of managerial speculation in the bar have resulted in a shock decision.

The Daily Mirror state Manchester United will stick with Louis Van Gaal for the final year of his contract, meaning the Dutch boss will stay at the club next season.

Speculation at Old Trafford has been rife ever since mid-December where Jose Mourinho, recently sacked by Chelsea, was made the favourite to take over from Van Gaal as United were struggling to find form.

Though they’ve increased their performances since the turn of the year, particularly in recent months, the Red Devils look set to miss out on a spot in the top-four of the Premier League but it’s understood Van Gaal will stay even if he fails to clinch a Champions League spot.

That will raise some concerns as Van Gaal, who has failed to impress thoroughly since landing the job in England, will have to compete with Manchester City and Pep Guardiola next season- as well as a revitalised Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Our landlord feels this is the incorrect decision and it will simply delay the major reshuffle Manchester United need, which could prove problematic in the long-term.

United fans, is this the wrong decision? Do you need Mourinho this summer? Let us know in the comments below!
