According to the Daily Star, Manchester United have opened talks with Monaco over the possibility of signing Layvin Kurzawa for £12m.
This doesn’t shock fans in the Football Transfer Tavern as they continue their search for defensive reinforcements.
Kurzawa was previously a target for Chelsea last summer before they ended up signing Filipe Luis from Atletico Madrid.
The Red Devils have been linked with new defenders left, right and centre in the Tavern recently but Louis van Gaal has a good chance of landing this target, as the clubs have already begun talks.
I am sure this news will put Luke Shaw on edge, as Kurzawa seems worryingly similar.
The 22-year-old is an attacking left back who has been impressive for France’s Under 21 international side.
He has also gone on to establish himself as a key player for Monaco and has gone on to make 53 Ligue 1 appearances.
