Metro have excited Manchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern as it is revealed they have joined the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain’s unhappy midfielder Yohan Cabaye.
It is believed that United have joined a cluster of Premier League clubs – including Arsenal and Liverpool – that are pursuing Newcastle United’s former midfielder.
The 28-year-old has struggled since returning to his homeland and he is unsettled at the French champions.
And now it is thought he is eyeing a move back to England where in the past he was settled on and off the field.
Punters feel the Frenchman would be an asset to any Premier League side that is able to snap him up as he provides good experience and also from his time at PSG he is aware of the expectation that comes with playing for a big European club.
And he could be exactly what Manchester United are looking for, not only does he bring experience, but his ball retention and creativity from midfield is immaculate.
But it is thought that in January that the Gunners and the Reds are both ready to submit offers should PSG decide to cash on him.
