Anticipation is building here in the Transfer Tavern as Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday prepare to battle in the Sky Bet Championship this afternoon.
The two Yorkshire-based clubs are both fighting to win a play-off place in the Championship and today’s game could give one of the two sides a psychological advantage going into the home straight of the campaign.
The Whites have had a quality season under the guidance of ex-Swansea City boss Garry Monk and on top form they have looked very difficult to beat, particularly at Elland Road.
The club’s supporters have endured several years of hurt and they are desperate to see their side secure promotion this season and with Monk at the helm there is every possibility that their dreams could become a reality.
A few of their supporters have arrived for a couple of early beers ahead of today’s game and Lee Clarke looks at two players who should be used as impact substitutes this afternoon.
