Newcastle United supporters in the Football Transfer Tavern have been left concerned with the latest reports from Mail Online about a potential high profile departure from the club.
The paper has today reopened suggestions that captain Fabricio Coloccini could make a sooner than expected return to Argentina after his wife posted a series of heartfelt messages on social networking sites.
The Magpies supporters were left shocked with news late last season that Coloccini wanted to return to South America for ‘personal reasons’ and there was a rumoured move to former club San Lorenzo in the pipeline.
However after much persuasion from Mike Ashley and Alan Pardew, the 31-year-old returned to Tyneside after brief stint in Buenos Aires to continue his dominance in the Newcastle United defence.
His future was up in the air again last week after the central defender admitted that he would like to return to his native country and this has raised thoughts that a January switch could be on the cards.
Now the emotional tweets from Natalia Coloccini, who is reported to be back in South America, are likely to intensify speculation in the tavern and the possible loss of their homesick captain could prove to be a massive problem for Newcastle during a crucial part of the season.
