West Ham will be hoping for a big summer in the transfer window this year, following a disappointing season under David Moyes and previously Slaven Bilic.
The Hammers could well still find themselves back in the Championship, but will be confident they have enough in the locker over the coming games to cement their place in the top flight and begin making big plans for the sort of players they want to bring in.
Our landlord here in the Tavern has been having a good few chats with the West Ham fans this week, and the belief is there that some good summer signings will bring the squad up to scratch and put them in a much better position going into next season.
One of the players we think could be a good signing for the club is out of favour Liverpool man Nathaniel Clyne, who, following injuries, has seen his place in the side lost to the likes of Alexander-Arnold and Gomez.
Valued at £18m by Transfermarkt, the England right back might well be open to a move, and would slot in nicely for the Hammers, with Pablo Zabaleta clearly struggling this season as age begins to catch up with him.
Clyne has bags of ability and was at one point ahead of Kyle Walker in terms of the England squad. However, his stock has dropped, and a move to West Ham could be just the move he needs to get back on track.
Hammers fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
