Leeds United take their cavalry south as they face The Posh, in what is almost guaranteed to be an entertaining affair. Leeds United did the double over Peterborough United last season and will be hoping to set the same trend this time around.
Rewind back to last season when the two sides met at London Road. Leeds United led 2-1 going into the 88th minute, only for Mark Little to equalise for 10 man Peterborough United. However, heading into the 95th minute, a free-kick from ex-midfielder Adam Clayton was met superbly by Darren O’dea as his volley was adjudged to have crossed the line before Luciano Becchio made sure of it.
After the midweek defeat to Blackpool, Neil Warnock must play his strongest side after deciding to move Lee Peltier to left back and playing rookie Sam Byram at right back. Sam Byram looks like he could have a promising career, but throwing him at the deep end so suddenly looks to be the wrong decision at the moment as Adam Drury is itching to show his worth at left back, which will allow Lee Peltier to finally play in his natural right back position.
The Posh have started this season with back to back defeats against Leicester and Millwall respectively. Hopefully Leeds United will be able to make it three defeats out of three for old enemy Fergie Jr.
Neil Warnock will be looking for a big reaction from his players today, most notably his front four. So i’m plunging for a 3-0 victory to Leeds United today.
