Following Rangers’ 3-1 win against Rapid Wien, both James Tavernier and Alfredo Morelos have been nominated in the Europa League Team of the Week. The Gers duo both scored at the Ibrox Stadium with the Colombian Morelos bagging a quickfire equaliser, Tavernier putting Rangers 2-1 up from the penalty spot in the 84th minute then Morelos grabbing his brace deep into injury time to seal the victory.

The official Rangers Twitter account tweeted this out, handing their players the congratulations and adding insult to injury to Celtic fans who had seen their side lose and then have Rangers fairly brandishing their players excelling on social media which ‘Gers fans could display their approval by interacting with the tweet as they did.

One Birmingham City fan even got involved and was hungry for more Rangers players to be included, in particular, the talented loanee courtesy of Liverpool, Ryan Kent.
Shame Ryan Kent wasn’t in that team. Played an absolute blinder at times. Needs to get onside more though!
