Rangers: Southampton fans deliver their verdicts on Ross Wilson reports

Reports in The Telegraph suggest that Ross Wilson has quit his role at Southampton to take up the vacant Director of Football post at Rangers.
Will Rangers win the league?
Yes

No

The 36-year-old Scot has held previous roles at Falkirk, Watford and Huddersfield Town and it has to be seen as something of a coup to entice him away from a Premiership role to move back up to Scotland.
The post has been vacant since the abrupt departure of previous incumbent, Mark Allen, a few weeks ago. Wilson was, in fact, offered the job before Allen arrived (per the BBC) at the Ibrox club but decided that the time wasn’t right for a return north.
Indeed, Wilson has seen various high profile transfers out of St. Mary’s in his time at Southampton, most notably Virgil van Dijk for £75m and Sadio Mane for £34m.
He has, however, drawn criticism for how this money has been re-invested (judging by the responses below, anyway) and the comments by these Saints fans should ring alarm bells for the Rangers faithful excited about Wilson’s arrival.
Even though most of the successful players were signed before he arrived. But still, don’t let the truth get in the way of a story

‘..Although the Saints model of recruitment has been a success on the whole….’ Not since Wilson arrived it hasn’t, that’s why we have been in a relegation battle the last two seasons!

Very poor article,no mention of Ross’s failures in the transfer market (Hoedt, ElYounoussi, vestergaard, Carillo, Juanmi, Gunn, Austin, the fact that he completely wasted the fee we received for Van Dijk, underselling tadic and Mane which largely outweigh the few successes he had
