In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport he said:
“Ronaldinho? I am sorry he has left, he is the greatest player in the world when it comes to the speed of thinking and execution, but it was his choice to return to Brazil.”
Berlusconi’s comments suggest that Blackburn may not be favourites to land the former World Player of the Year and that the 30-year-old has already made up his mind.
Ronaldinho is said to have decided to leave Milan over a pay dispute but the one-time World Cup winner has struggled to impress in Italy. Brazilian club Gremio had looked favourites to land the former Barca man until Blackburn Rovers stepped in.
