Scottish giants Celtic weighing up move for powerful striker

deilaaaCeltic fans in The Transfer Tavern are delighted at news that the club are looking to make a move for a new striker when the window opens in January.

Reports in The Daily Record suggest the club are looking to make a move for powerful Danish forward Emil Berggreen.

It is reported that Celtic had a bid for the striker rejected in the summer, with Berggreen all but confirming this recently by saying: “There was on offer for me on the last day of the transfer window but out of respect for the club I won’t say who it was from.”

Berggreen who currently plies his trade in the German second tier with Braunschweig has netted four goals in eight starts so far this season, after scoring five in 13 last season following his move from Danish side Hobro.

The Scottish champions have been looking a strikers to add to their squad for some time to add competition to strikers Griffiths and Ciftci, the latter failing to impress during his time so far at the club.

The Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern are happy that boss Ronny Deila is looking to strengthen his forward options, and feel this lofty striker could be a perfect addition!
