The name Yann M’Vila is a rising star across the channel and according caughtoffside.com sources in France have tipped the hot-prospect to be heading to old Trafford in the summer.
The Rennes star is at the top of the pile as Ferguson is set to replace Owen Hargreaves, whom despite his ability has barely played 40 games in four seasons.
The 20 year old French powerhouse plays as a defensive midfielder and with Scholes and Giggs (and most certainly Hargreaves) nearing the end of the road for the Champions the youngster certainly meets the criteria.
M’Vila told French media “Manchester United is the club of my dreams. It’s a very prestigious club and I dream of playing for them”
His impressive career so far has also interested the likes of Arsenal, Real Madrid, AC Milan and Liverpool. (Not a bad list of teams to be on your case!!)
It looks unlikely Rennes will be able to clutch onto the Rock that has consistently sat in front of their back four as handful of Europe’s best battle for his assistance.
I believe a fee of around 20 million euros will be enough to buy out the player whose contract tie’s him to the ligue1 club until 2014.
M’Vila has impressed at International level from under 16’s up, and already has eight caps for the seniors. He’s certainly a name for the future and I would expect to see him playing for a Champions League side next season.
