‘Stop it now’ – There are some frustrated Chelsea fans after announcement regarding player

For the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern, the rebuild at Stamford Bridge must start from within. Specifically, they’re looking for their side to begin using more homegrown talent, as opposed to buying players from elsewhere.

Much of the frustration amongst Chelsea fans at present has come because of their transfer policy. Over the last year, the club has spent big sums of money on players that simply haven’t been good enough. The likes of Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater have really struggled, and that directly led to a downturn in form and a downturn in results.

Naturally, then, something needs to change, and one way that most would agree makes sense is through the utilisation of the youth. Chelsea’s academy is one of Europe’s most successful, yet very few of its members have progressed into the first team.

Unfortunately, though, that looks unlikely to change. Chelsea have already confirmed the first of what is likely to be many major short-term exits over the coming weeks and months, with the announcement coming in the form of a Tweet with an attached link to the official Chelsea website.

With fans eager to see youngsters given a chance, it won’t come as a surprise to learn that fans are frustrated at the news, with many fearing the worst.

Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
