Swansea City manager situation up in the air, former Liverpool boss interested in return

rodgers222The Swansea City fans who are competing in a pool tournament in The Transfer Tavern this evening, are discussing reports suggesting a former manager could be set to return to the club in the summer.

The South Wales Evening Post is reporting that former manager Brendan Rodgers would be interested in returning to the club, as they look set to review their current managers position during the summer.

Speculation has been rife that current manager Francisco Guidolin will not have his current deal extended beyond the end of the season.

Guidolin who has missed Swansea’s last three games through illness is reportedly struggling to communicate with the players at the club through his limited English, and although the 60-year-old is keen to stay at the club, officials have yet to decide on his future.

It is thought that Rodgers was the club’s first choice appointment when they sacked Garry Monk in December, but the former Liverpool boss was not ready to make his return to management instead wanting to wait until the summer.

The Swansea fans in the Transfer Tavern would love to see Rodgers return to the club and although they are thankful for everything achieved under Guidolin, they would welcome the former Liverpool boss back to the Liberty Stadium with open arms!
