Tevez + Jaroobchian = Trouble. Again.

Carlos Tevez’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, claims that he can convince the striker to rejoin Corinthians in the next two years. Corinthians themselves have this week admitted that they would be interested in re-signing the City striker who scored 25 goals in 39 appearances for the Brazilian club, before he was shipped out to West Ham.

Joorabchian apparently told Brazilian TV Station, TV Gazeta that Tevez ‘would be happy to return to Brazil and play for Corinthians. I want to help Corinthians in their sporting quest. I would like the deal to be done swiftly but in reality it will probably take a long time.’ Joorabchian went on to pledge the signing of Man United’s Anderson, and Tottenham’s Heurelho Gomes for the Brazilians. Quite where he pulled that idea from is anyone’s guess!

The whole thing seems to be bordering on the ridiculous, but Ciy manager Roberto Mancini obviously felt the story carried some weight as he told reporters,

‘I’m happy for Carlos because he has scored 50 goals for Manchester City and I hope he can continue to score, but in football it is impossible to know what will happen in the future. I hope Carlos can continue to play here.’

Tevez has been in terrific form of late, and scored his 50th goal for City at the weekend against Notts County in the FA Cup. The goal was Tevez’s 18th this season, and the 27 year old is considered to be one of City’s biggest assets.

They’ve reportedly slapped a £40 million price-tag on the Argentine, and with his wages at £165,000 a week (one of the highest in the league) it will clearly take a lot of cash to prise the striker from Eastlands. Jaroobchian claimed however, that ‘money will not be a problem. Carlos loves Brazil and I think it is very feasible (that he will return there).’

Tevez’s contract runs out in 2014, but Jaroobchian believes he will leave City before then. The Argentine had expressed a desire to leave Manchester City during the last transfer window, claiming he missed his children back in Argentina. However, the official transfer request that he made was withdrawn after about a week. Tevez has since gone on record to say he is very happy at City. It remains to be seen if Jaroobchian’s wild claims, are accurate or merely Blue Moon thinking.
