Everton have made decent progress under Ronald Koeman this season, and could well seal a European spot by the end of the campaign.
In Romelu Lukaku he has found a striker who is a guarantee of 20 goals a season, and he knows he will face a fight to keep the Belgian this summer with plenty of clubs circling around the big striker.
The summer months will represent another chance for Koeman to enter the transfer market, and with new ownership backing, the Everton fans here in the Tavern are getting excited about which potential signings the club will make before next term.
One player who could catch the eye of the Toffees scouting team is Swansea midfielders Gylfi Sigurdsson, who is currently valued at £17m by website Transfermarkt.
The Icelandic midfield ace has been the jewel in the crown at Swansea for some time now, and his form this season has once again led to plenty of admiring glances.
Capable of playing in the number 10 role or even a little deeper if needed, Sigurdsson is a class act, who in a better team higher up the table could flourish even more.
If Everton can pull off the signing of Sigurdsson, it would be an excellent statement of intent from the club and should provide them with a real attacking boost going into 2017/18.
Toffees fans, what do you think? Would you take Sigurdsson? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments!
