These two players should follow James Tavernier out of Rangers if he leaves in January

It’s been another strange season for the Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern to say the least, with no one propping up our bar sure exactly what they’re going to get from the Light Blues under Graeme Murty.

Indeed, not too much blame can be put on the Gers’ caretaker boss, who has been thrust into the limelight amid the frustrating search for a new manager to replace Pedro Caixinha, who has given his marching orders way back in October.

One thing that is for certain, however, is the fact that most of the signings made by the aforementioned Portuguese haven’t worked out and that a clearout is certainly needed at Ibrox. Having wasted quite a bit of cash in the summer, it’s time for Dave King and company to try and claw some of that back.

Funnily enough, one of the men who could spark a potential overhaul of the playing staff in Glasgow is actually a man who has been around for a long time. James Tavernier, who joined Rangers back in 2015, is thought to be a target of Sunderland’s this January, though shouldn’t be the only one moved out of Ibrox.

With that in mind, here’s a look at two players who should follow James Tavernier out of Rangers if he leaves in January.
