Leeds United beat Reading as they cemented their place in the top-two of the Championship with one player going reasonably under the radar with his performance.

The Whites took the lead in the second-half as Pablo Hernandez skipped past one player before stabbing the ball into the back of the net. However, they had Kiko Casilla to thank for their victory after the former Real Madrid 'keeper made a brilliant stop from Andy Rinomhota, in the last-minute, to ensure all three points remained at Elland Road (via BBC).

The former Valencia attacker was head and shoulders above his teammates as he proved to be the key attacking threat for Marcelo Bielsa's men. He was a constant threat to the Royals' backline as he had a mammoth six shots on goal, attempted nine ground duels and nine long passes (via SofaScore).

Bielsa himself praised Casilla for his importance in getting the win and Nathan Jones spoke on EFL on Question (HITC) about Hernandez's importance.

However, the unsung hero proved to be Mateusz Klich, who seemed to escape the attention of the viewers with his performance in the final third. The Poland international was in brilliant form as he attempted the joint-most dribbles (2), the second-most key passes (3) and the joint-second most shots at goal (3). In fact, the best part of his game proved to be his work off the ball as the 29-year-old made the most fouls (5) for the Yorkshire outfit, helping break up play from the front (via WhoScored).

Overall, Klich affected the game in both an attacking and a defensive sense - proving his worth as the promotion race hots up.
