Valencia target Manchester United striker

Javier HernandezA special in the ‘Football Transfer Tavern’ today, we are serving Sangria and according to Tom Hopkinson of the Sunday People, this is a drink that Javier Hernandez could soon becoming accustom to.

Tom has told us that La Liga side Valencia have earmarked the Manchester United striker as the man to replace Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur target, Roberto Soldado.

Through a mouthful of pork scratchings, a regular asks Tom if he genuinely thinks this transfer will happen and interestingly Tom told us that Valencia have actually already contacted Chicharito over a potential deal. The response that Valencia got was along the lines of ‘Let me see what Wazza does first’.

An old gentleman in the corner beckoned me over and showed me a few stats he had jotted down on the back of a beer mat. Hernandez managed an impressive 10 Premier League goals last season, despite only starting 9 games. With those figures, it isn’t hard to see why Valencia want the Mexican international.

Just as Tom is about to give us some more news on Tottenham’s pursuit of Soldado, a brawl breaks out over by the snooker table and after a few barstools are broken everything calms down but when we turned back to Tom, he had already left.

Is it time for Javier Hernandez to move on? Rate this rumour below!
