With Willian and co coming so close to do doing the double against Chelsea in mid-week, the Brazilian contingent in Eastern Europe are looking to be the next bit of hot property in the transfer market.

Willian has already set his sights on Chelsea or one of the Milan clubs and with such players as Fernandinho shining in the large sparkly shop window that is the Champions League only the teams with regular European football and  enough cash to burn through the winter months can afford such star quality.

That is why Paul Lambert's Aston Villa are looking to Metalist Kharkiv of Ukraine for Brazilian reinforcements. The man they are reportedly after is known as Tasion. This left footed Brazilian winger is valued at approximately £8 million and has a grand total of 3 goals and 4 assists to his name in all competitions this year thus far.

The rumour has been reported by tuttomercatoweb.com who go on to state that negotiations have started but the deal is still at a similar stage to a relationship whereby if either party wasn't feeling it you wouldn't be surprised if it was all called off by a very impersonal text message.

Whether or not this rumour has the legs to go all the way is very uncertain as the website itself, in my experience, hasn't been the most reliable. Add to the fact that Villa already have Gabby Agbonlahor, Charles N'Zogbia, Brett Holtman and Barry Bannan able to play on the left and you begin to wonder why a manager as intelligent as Lambert would appear be considering adding to a position that is in no need to be bulked up, the only reason for adding someone of Taison's quality to his squad would be as a replacement.

The new system of 4-2-3-1 that Lambert seems have stuck with in previous weeks almost beat the team currently top of the pile in England and the addition of a quick and tricky winger could enhance things if Charles N'Zogbia looks to end his nightmare time in the Midlands. Obviously Lambert would want to work with what he has got at the moment but theres nothing wrong with having a plan b.

The deal would make more sense if Taison is seen as a straight replacement for the Frenchmen, he is known for excellent dribbling skills and has a history of being high on the silver boot standings in the Ukrainian league (Most assists standings). In his previous two season he has managed 11 and 9 assists respectively. The Daily Mail also rumoured during the busy summer months that Chelsea were looking to add the winger to their squad but that rumour evaporated faster than boiling water in a kettle with no lid.

For this transfer to happen either Lambert gets a substantial amount of money and decides to risk all of it, which I doubt someone of Lambert's astuteness would do, or N'Zogbia is being lined up to leave and Taison is the man Lambert wants to replace him. Very hard to tell in November what will happen here but Villa fans keep your heads up as things look to be going in the right direction at Villa Park.
