The Champions League is a special competition to win with the Europe’s greatest teams all competing for it, and therefore you should never make fun of a star about not winning it as Gary Lineker found out.
Our punters here in the Transfer Tavern are in stitches at this latest video and we cannot blame them!
While presenting a game on BT Sport, the ex-England forward who has 48 goals for his country, was saying that the retired legends with him (Ferdinand, Gerrard, Wright) had all had their hands on the trophy and added ‘Iain when he walked in to the studio’.
The comment which made fun of the fact Iain Wright was the only player that hadn’t won the trophy was quickly returned by the ex-Arsenal man saying ‘I was just going to say when I walked into the studio I grabbed the back of your head’.
Our landlord has decided to put the video up on the big flatscreen TV here in the Transfer Tavern to show everyone – It is quality!
