Reports in the Daily Mirror state that West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino will remain at the club until at least the end of the season.
It is thought that chairman Jeremy Peace will reject all bids for the prolific goal scorer if any arrive in January.
Peace has made his decision due to his decision to sell the club, and sees the striker’s goals and them staying in the Premier League at the end of this season as vital.
The chairman sees the club as a more lucrative option for potential buyers should the club remain in the Premier League, due to them receiving a share of the new £5.1 billion TV deal that comes into effect from next season.
Berahino has had assurances that the club will look at his future in the summer, after seeing a failed move to Tottenham during the summer transfer window.
The striker alienated many fans following the failed move, even stating that he would not play for the club again as long as Peace remains in charge.
Following talks with boss Tony Pulis those issues have now been put to bed, and Berahino is back in the side, and moving on from the whole sorry saga.
Many West Bromwich Albion fans in the Transfer Tavern still believe that Berahino should be allowed to leave the club as they are still not convinced he is fully committed to the cause!
