Wolves set to turn to ex-Premier League manager with Paul Lambert facing nervous wait

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Paul Lambert faces a waiting game over his future as the club’s controversial owners begin to line-up a new boss, according to the Express and Star.

The publication are reporting that recently sacked Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka is being touted as the club’s next manager, with Lambert currently facing a nervy wait to find out his future.

Lambert performed quite admirably during his stint as Wolves boss last season, guiding the West Midlands-based club away from the relegation places and overseeing an incredible win over Liverpool in the FA Cup.

Several Wolves fans have gathered here in the Football Transfer Tavern and they are pretty shocked that Lambert is not set to continue in the role next season, although they are all in agreement that the club’s owners want a coach to come in and manage the players who will be selected by the owner rather than the boss.

Former Real Madrid assistant coach Karanka would undoubtedly be keen on a move to Wolves and his arrival could earmark the club as one of the promotion front runners next season.

Wolves fans, would you welcome Karanka as the club’s new manager? Let us know in the comments below!!!
