# Unsung Hero: Celtic’s Mohamed Elyounoussi marks Hoops debut with early assist

Elyounoussi’s debut for the Hoops [concluded on 67 minutes, with Tom Rogic coming on in his place](https://www.skysports.com/football/hamilton-vs-celtic/teams/411245), and his performance was hailed by some reporters afterwards.

Sourav Mahanty of [thecelticbhoys.com](https://thecelticbhoys.com/2019/09/14/celtic-player-ratings-vs-hamilton/2/) wrote that the winger “started very brightly” and had “a couple of good runs on the counter attack”, although he gave him a [modest rating of 6.5](https://thecelticbhoys.com/2019/09/14/celtic-player-ratings-vs-hamilton/2/).

After a frustrating campaign at Southampton last term, Elyounoussi wasted no time in making his presence felt at Celtic and he could have given Lennon a decision to make between him and Johnston as to who will start on the left wing once both players are available.
