# Valencia in pole position to secure deal to sign Chelsea hitman

[![Falcao](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Falcao-500x334.jpg)](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Falcao.jpg?admin)Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have had their heads turned by reports from the continent, which suggests one of their most costly players could be on his way out.

[*Fichajes* state that super-agent Jorge Mendes has started to look for a new club for misfiring client Radamel Falcao](https://www.fichajes.net/noticias/podria-estar-punto-mira-che-20151021.html), who arrived at Chelsea in the summer for an expensive loan stint in the capital.

According to the report, [Valencia are the favourites for the player’s signature](https://www.fichajes.net/noticias/podria-estar-punto-mira-che-20151021.html) as their lack of striking options up-top has made them Mendes main point of attention- but the Colombian’s wages could be a stumbling block.

Falcao has struggled in his time in the Premier League, scoring four goals whilst on-loan at Manchester United last season and only finding the net once for Chelsea; having been ousted from Jose Mourinho’s set-up.

Whilst Falcao’s form has been on a major decline, the South American previously starred at Atletico Madrid and Porto, an angle that Mendes will push as he tries to secure another big-money deal for his client.
