Whilst Chelsea are struggling in the Premier League, a few of their loan players have been doing the business across Europe in recent weeks – showing Chelsea boss Antonio Conte exactly what he is missing.
Tammy Abraham has been getting all the credit since the start of the season, but it is his English compatriot Lewis Baker that is gaining the plaudits amongst the Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern.
Whilst his temporary home, Vitesse, did not cover themselves in glory with a defeat over the weekend – Lewis Baker scored a wonderful goal that added a bit of gloss to an otherwise dull performance for the Dutch outfit.
Picking the ball up about half way into the opposition box, Baker launched an audacious effort – just pipping the FC Twente goalkeeper.
