# Warburton could see Rangers conduct January loan deal

**The Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern have failed to get truly excited about this season yet, with Mark Warburton’s side struggling in the SPFL so far this season.**

With the Joey Barton saga yet another ugly episode in the club’s short history, reports from [the Sun](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/2166996/fulham-and-bristol-city-eye-january-transfer-swoop-for-rangers-striker-martyn-waghorn/) over the weekend suggest another Gers star could be on the way.

Championship sides Fulham and Bristol City are [thought](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/2166996/fulham-and-bristol-city-eye-january-transfer-swoop-for-rangers-striker-martyn-waghorn/) to be keen on forward Martyn Waghorn, who is [reportedly](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/2166996/fulham-and-bristol-city-eye-january-transfer-swoop-for-rangers-striker-martyn-waghorn/) annoyed he’s not been offered a new deal at Ibrox.

After a conversation with the former Brentford boss, the former Leicester City and Sunderland striker is [understood](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/2166996/fulham-and-bristol-city-eye-january-transfer-swoop-for-rangers-striker-martyn-waghorn/) to want to call an end to his time in Glasgow.

Having joined only last year, the 26-year-old proved prolific in the Scottish Championship, though the club’s recent spending on players like Joe Garner could see him move on.

A loan move could even happen for the ex-England U21 international, who is [said](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/2166996/fulham-and-bristol-city-eye-january-transfer-swoop-for-rangers-striker-martyn-waghorn/) to want a big pay rise.

**Is it imperative Rangers keep a hold of Waghorn? Let us know below…**
