Within the pictures, Deeney could be seen running around the training pitch, which is clearly a good indication for Watford fans that his return to football is nearing.

Deeney has been out for nine games this season due to [knee surgery](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/troy-deeney/verletzungen/spieler/65477) he underwent on August 22.

There is no doubt that the club are desperate for the club legend’s return. With [nine](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) games gone in the Premier League, Watford[are still yet to record a win](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) and are bottom with problems at both ends of the pitch. So far, they have conceded the most amount of goals in the league with [21](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) and scored the least amount of goals with [5](https://www.premierleague.com/tables).

The Hornets are in desperate need of a leader and a goal scorer – Troy Deeney, the club captain, is [both](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/troy-deeney/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/65477) of those.

Here are the responses from Watford fans…
