Watford are reminiscing over the day Gerard Deulofeu arrived at the club as it is two years to the day that the Hornets signed the Spaniard on a permanent deal.
The winger was on loan at the Hornets for the second half of the 2017/18 campaign and only managed seven appearances and one goal before an injury ruled him out for several games, but he clearly impressed as the club subsequently bought the forward for £11.7m, per Transfermarkt.
From then he would become a fan favourite, and has featured 70 times for Watford, scoring 17 goals and supplying 11 assists, and many supporters have been recalling the moment when he clinched victory for the side in extra time in the aforementioned FA Cup semi-final against Wolves at Wembley. The photo on Instagram shows the moment after he scored that decisive goal and you can clearly see how much it means to him.
Sadly he suffered a cruciate ligament injury three months ago which has ruled him out until September at the earliest, but fans will be hopeful that he can return to action as soon as possible and entertain them on the pitch.
