# ‘We will seriously challenge for the league’ – Liverpool fans urge club to land 24-year-old

***The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are looking ahead to the Champions League final on Saturday. The Reds are set to take on Real Madrid in a game that could go down in history for the Reds, and it’s fair to say that the anticipation is already building.***

It’s going to take a lot to turn fans attention away from the clash, but it’s fair to say that a [recent report from Paul Joyce on Twitter, who is a respected journalist for The Times](https://twitter.com/_pauljoyce/status/999764486784503808), has taken the attention away from the game for a minute.

[According to Joyce, Liverpool will step up their interest in attack Nabil Fekir this summer following the final, with Jurgen Klopp clearly keen to improve his options going forward.](https://twitter.com/_pauljoyce/status/999764486784503808)

Fekir has had a sensational season over in France, bagging a remarkable 18 goals and 7 assists in the league.

[Unsurprisingly, this news has generated a lot of attention over on the Liverpool fan Reddit page, with fans taking to the platform to discuss him and the chances of him coming to Anfield.](https://www.reddit.com/r/LiverpoolFC/comments/8lwcvn/liverpool_will_step_up_move_for_lyons_nabil_fekir/)

He seems to be very popular among supporters, with one even claiming that a title challenge will be forthcoming this summer if this news is anything to go by.

Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
