# Liverpool: Fans worried by latest Timo Werner update

**It surely seemed to be only a matter of time before Timo Werner would be completing his move to Liverpool.**

The Germany international has been linked with a switch to Anfield since last year (BILD [via Metro](https://metro.co.uk/2019/01/02/liverpool-could-swoop-for-timo-werner-in-bargain-36m-deal-if-he-refuses-new-rb-leipzig-contract-8300356/)), but he still remains at RB Leipzig. His form this season has done little to pour cold water on any rumours of an exit, either – he has managed [27](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/timo-werner/leistungsdaten/spieler/170527) goals and 12 assists in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit.

The 24-year-old has even [indicated](https://twitter.com/JanAageFjortoft/status/1230254340314673153) in interviews that he would be interested in making the switch, but the latest report from German publication BILD throws up more questions than answers. [They say](https://twitter.com/cfbayern/status/1257767906835746816) that both Manchester United and Chelsea have made an approach, but the Reds are yet to have made a bid to sign him.
