# West Brom: Baggies eye move for Max Watters

**[According to The Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9030463/Premier-League-clubs-keeping-tabs-Crawley-goal-machine-Max-Watters.html), West Bromwich Albion are eyeing a deal for Crawley Town striker Max Watters.**

### **Watters on Baggies radar**

The Baggies are said to be pursuing Watters, who only made a move to Crawley on a free transfer in October. Already, though, he has managed [12](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/max-watters/leistungsdaten/spieler/586023) goals in 14 matches for his new club.

As such, a number of clubs are interested in the 21-year-old. Along with Slaven Bilic’s men, Watford have also been mentioned as a potential suitor, while clubs from League One and Belgium also have him on their radar.

### **Bargain move**

This could be a stunning move for the Midlands outfit. Crawley could [reportedly](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9030463/Premier-League-clubs-keeping-tabs-Crawley-goal-machine-Max-Watters.html) be looking for a fee of £1m for his services, which would of course represent a significant profit for his current employers. However, for West Brom, it would be nothing other than a drop in the ocean for a player who Darren Moore, his former manager at Doncaster, said had [“wonderful attributes”](https://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk/sport/football/insight-max-watters-future-doncaster-rovers-2067288).

The Baggies have scored just [eight](https://www.skysports.com/premier-league-table) goals in the Premier League so far this term as they sit in the bottom three – only Sheffield United and Burnley have managed less. A new striker, therefore, wouldn’t go amiss, and Watters could just be the perfect option ahead of the January transfer window.
